Cornell Leverette Moore
City where you were born: Tignall, Georgia
Currently work at: Dorsey & Whitney LLP
Favorite Twin Cities hangout: Eddie’s Barbershop on 4th Avenue South. A lot of characters that think they are celebrities, including yours truly, frequent the shop.
Favorite Minnesota season: Winter. I do not like to sweat (perspire); not spring, because I have terrible allergies.
Most memorable career experience: The chartering of a National Bank. It was terrific because it gave me a chance to bring all of my varied experiences to bear, i.e. bank regulation, real estate, credit advice and personnel interest. The next best was when we sold it and the cash came rushing in to my coffers.
Best thing about practicing law in the Twin Cities: The variety of the people you get a chance to deal with over a long period of time—some get better, some stay the same, but all are genuine.
